Despite last nights gruesome looking hit Rob Gronkowski may be returning to the field sooner than expected. After several tests last night, it was concluded that Gronkowski did not suffer any structural damage to his knee and he had full mobility before boarding the plane back to New England. According to several sources, Gronkowski has a good chance to play against the Eagles. That is very good news despite the imperfect end to an undefeated season.
In spite of Gronkowski's injury, the Patriots are still paper thin at wide receiver and running back. Julian Edelman broke his foot during against the Giants, Danny Amendola injured his knee against Bills, and Dion Lewis tore his ACL against the Redskins. All three are key cogs on the Patriots offense and Amendola and Edelman will be returning to the lineup before the playoffs. Despite the injuries Tom Brady and the Patriots keep trudging on, one game at a time. Also, a loss now is much better than a loss in January, when games count. Comments are closed.
